In 2017, Katie welcomed her first son into the world — and with a little extra time at home, she decided to try her hand at French macarons. No culinary school. No formal training. Just curiosity, a whole lot of patience, and an oven that worked overtime.
What started as a mat leave project quickly turned into something more. Neighbours noticed. Friends started ordering. Word spread through Newmarket the way good food always does — one delighted bite at a time.
Entirely Self-Taught
and a lot of happy mistakes ♡
Every technique Katie uses — from aging egg whites to perfecting the "feet" on a macaron shell — she figured out herself. Through trial, error, and more than a few batches that didn't quite make the cut.
That self-taught spirit is baked into every order. There's no assembly line here. Each macaron is made by hand, in small batches, with the kind of care you only get from someone who truly loves what they do.
Beyond the Bakery Box
because every gathering deserves something special ♡
Katie is also well known around Newmarket for her beloved pop-up events — British-style high teas and Elevenses gatherings hosted at local breweries and community spaces. Think tiered stands, finger sandwiches, and of course, an abundance of macarons.

The Whole Picture
When Katie isn't in the kitchen, she's a mum to two wonderful boys, cheering on the Blue Jays, and building a life in Newmarket with her family. Serial Treaters exists because of them — and for everyone else who believes the sweetest moments in life are worth celebrating properly.
